NáRoma Pizza Bar
Just recently my boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary and to celebrate this special occasion we decided to try a new place together, so we ventured to NáRoma Pizza Bar. I have to say that I was extremely impressed by both their service and food. Oh and I forgot to mention that we just really, really, really like our pizza, but who doesn’t? So that was our whole reason for going there.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a sweet young lady and she showed us to our seats which were in the back area of the restaurant. It was really hot back there because we were extremely close to the kitchen, but that was okay because I got to see how hard the employees work to make each and every pizza up to NáRoma standards.
Their menu was very concise and straight to the point. I always admire looking at a small menu because it makes it easier to choose, again that still didn’t make it any easier to choose anything because everything sounded so enticing.
After 10 minutes of deciding on what to eat we started with a caesar salad which featured romaine hearts, homemade croutons, bacon, shaved Parmigiano, Reggiano, and homemade caesar dressing. The bacon on this salad was absolutely amazing! No doubt the best bacon I have ever had, Oh yeah and it wasn’t a fake bacon crumble, it was actual strip bacon! For a dinner size of this dish it was $9 and it was a healthy portion for both myself and my boyfriend.
For our main dish we ordered a coppia size pizza, which is the smallest sized pizza you can get. This features twelve square pieces of pizza and your choice of two flavours of pizza (serves 2-3). Trust me this was way more than enough for the both of us. We ordered the Brie e Prosciutto and the Pollo Alla Brace.
The Brie e prosciutto features mozzarella, triple cream brie cheese, prosciutto, fig jam, caramelized onions, arugula, reduced balsamic. A coppia size pizza on its own is $20.
The Pollo Alla Brace features mozzarella, BBQ chicken, cheddar cheese, red onion, mushrooms. A coppia size of the pizza on its own is $19.
This picture below is of the Brie e Prosciutto pizza. Absolutely mouth-watering.
I got to see first hand from my seat exactly how the pizza is prepared. It looks like a lot of work goes into preparing each one so that it is perfect for their customers. I tried both flavours of pizza and they were absolutely mind-blowing. Each flavour had its own identity and tasted great in their own way. I mean this was literally my reaction when I took my first bite.
I definitely recommend going to Nároma Pizza Bar, the only downfall to this place was that I was too full to enjoy some of their dessert. Otherwise, our server was extremely polite and checked up on us regularly and our food was well prepared and delicious. If you live in Hamilton, or if you ever plan on visiting Hamilton I would head on down to Locke St. and try some of this heavenly pizza, it is one of Hamilton’s gems for sure.
